The object of any surveillance exercise is to follow and report the facts. At a fixed or mobile location, the investigator will observe the target’s actions, take photographs and/or video, and note the actions observed. When the surveillance operations are completed, a written report will be generated that documents the factual information observed while the subject was under surveillance. The final report is then able to be used as evidence in court. This includes investigating matrimonial matters, fraud, employee relations claims, theft, contract infringement, and sick leave abuse.
